Construction, Operation and Acquisition of Shahinshahr Wastewater Treatment Plant Supplementary Wastewater Treatment System with a Capacity of 100 Liters per Second


Isfahan Municipality intends to use wastewater from treatment plants in order to deal with the problems caused by water shortage and increase and strengthen the urban green space of Isfahan. For this purpose, a contract was signed for thirty years in 2010 between the managers of Isfahan city and during it it was decided that the amount of one hundred liters per second of raw effluent from Shahinshahr wastewater treatment plant will be provided to Isfahan Municipality.

After several years of planning and design and temporary use of the effluent, a contract was set up to set up a supplementary treatment system and it was decided that the delivered raw effluent would be treated according to the required standards of green space. Construction, operation and acquisition of the supplementary wastewater treatment system of Shahinshahr wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 100 liters per second has been done by Behin Ab Zande Rood Company and in February by the esteemed Mayor of Isfahan Dr. Norouzi and the CEO of the Water and Sewerage Company Isfahan Mr. Amini was inaugurated.
